DESCRIPTION:Register Now \n\n\nCelebrating 10 Years of FAITH! in Minnesota!\nIn 2023\, the FAITH! Program is celebrating a decade of community-engaged cardiovascular health promotion in Minnesota. Dr. LaPrincess Brewer\, a Mayo Clinic cardiologist\, founded FAITH! in Baltimore\, Maryland in 2008 and expanded it to Minnesota when joining the Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in 2013. The program aims to address cardiovascular health disparities faced by African-Americans in faith communities and beyond. Dr. Brewer has successfully engaged and nurtured collaborative relationships with African-American churches in Rochester and the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and established a FAITH! Community Steering Committee made up of a diverse group of community representatives and leaders. \nWe are excited to invite you to the celebratory FAITH! Weekend events taking place May 19th – 21st\, 2023.  We want to celebrate the success of our program and express our gratitude to those who made it possible: trial participants\, partnering churches\, community and academic partners\, and our whole FAITH! community! \nPlease consider donating to support FAITH! and our upcoming celebration! \nWeekend Events:\nFAITH! Mixer: Friday\, May 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm\n\nThis will be a smaller\, informal gathering to welcome our guests and celebrate with sponsors.\n\nRegister Here \nFAITH! Team at the Twin Cities Heart Walk: Saturday\, May 20th at 9:00 am\n\nFAITH! is all about community outreach and raising money for heart disease research and prevention! We have formed a team and will be participating in the American Heart Association’s annual Twin Cities Heart Walk on Saturday morning. Team members who participate will get official FAITH! Team shirts! We encourage you to donate towards our fundraising goal\n\nJoin our team and donate here \nFAITH! 10-Year Celebration Gala: Saturday\, May 20th at 6:00 pm\n\nThe main event! We will be hosting a Gala in Minneapolis Saturday evening including catered dinner\, music\, raffle prizes\, and a presentation from Dr. Brewer on the progress of FAITH!  We will also be joined by keynote speaker Rev. Dr. Michael Palmer of LifePoint Church in Reistertown\, Maryland.  Pastor Palmer was pastor of the flagship FAITH! church in Baltimore when Dr. Brewer started the program in 2008 and has been a consistent source of support ever since.\n\nRegister Here \nFAITH!
